PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) – The Pensacola International Airport has released new renderings for the $90 million terminal expansion project.
This expansion is aimed to keep up with the demand of travelers after the airport hosted over 3 million people last year.
In the expansion, the airport will be adding five new gates. The new gates will allow the airport to accommodate more daily flights. The TSA expansion of the project is expected to be completed in 2027.
Last month, the airport opened their long-term paved parking lot with 435 parking spaces, two bus shelters and 14 electric vehicle charging stations.
